Connecticut has become a relative blue state as of late, but, while we didint see any majority changes, we did see a good number of Republicans close the gaps in both the house and senate.
Senate Races: Going in to the night, Democrats were the majority party holding 22 of the 36 available senate seats. Republicans gained one seat back on election night. Post-election seat numbers stand at 21 Democrats and 15 Republicans.
House Races: Going into the night, Democrats were the majority, holding 97 of the 151 available seats. Republicans gained 10 seats on election night. Post-election seat numbers stand at 87 Democrats and 64 Republicans.
*This is the highest amount of Republicans seats in the house since 1996
